We are making a character based on a dragon fruit. The inspiration for the character's appearance is Lolita fashion. Lolita is a subculture from Japan based on the Victorian time period and its clothing. The subculture can primarily be categorized into three sub-styles "Sweet", "Gothic" and "Classic" but they're many more! For our character we chose to do Sweet Lolita because dragon fruits can often be described as sweet when ripe. It wasn't an easy project to do, we had to watch a lot of tutorials, restarts, etc but it came out well and that's what matters:)
